Deer weren't moving at all. Perhaps it was the high wind, but that gave me the perfect opportunity

for a stalk. I had hoped to get close enough for a bow shot at a bedded deer before being detected.

Instead, I came upon this grey fox and bracketed him with my 15 and 25 yard pins. My bow shoots flat

enough such that the pins presented a small gap, which was fortunate indeed because the fox was not

a very tall target. He must have been right at 20 yards because the broadhead slashed through the

exact point of aim. The fox darted for cover but didn't go far. No tracking was required as I came

upon him in just a few steps after recovering my arrow. It was such a beautiful sunset, I snapped a pic

of it before retiring for the evening.
